A very happy Mary-Cat. Experiment cookery. Chicken boiled and fried and stale bread fried in chicken fat. $4.50 a whole chicken to be used by yesterday - bargin. Carrots and celery and onions, oh my. Water and squishing and bones, oh my. Tomorrow, rissotto and left overs and whatever i can afford with left over coins, cause i got a bit carried away friday with my first normal pay that i didnt have to starve to pay off/back anything and i stupidly spent all my spare money on hibisuses, which is my latest madness.

blah blah blah
So ...
I have spent the last two working days at home.
I am working on wombat's behavioural issues with her mother.
ie. I am trying to stop her beating up on her.
I am enjoying their purring and the need they feel to be touching me if we are lying down to read or sleep. In these cooler months it is a full body snuggle up in the back of my knees. In summer it is just the bearest touch of a paw, in glancing, on ones leg or arm. It is cooler still and realised in a forceful curling up on foot on bed with knees up to rest my book on.
I cannot deny the competition for attention is flattering.
The battle to be toilet cat is so far dominated by Sookey. I have had to keep the toilet lid down to stop stoopid cats falling in and as a result my morning and day and nightly visits are much sort after as a blackmail point of weakness. I must pat them sufficiently to get them down. Sookey is queen of the toilet, closely followed by Blossom as cat most likely to be petted whilst I am , um, otherwise engaged
in important business.
Wooliff is lap cat when I am watching television of an afternoon.
Blossom is any time cat.
Mary is owner of the television and visits me of a morning for a head scratch.
Bubba, my sweet and possesser of my heart refuses to come inside at present and is content to bar passage in the driveway whene'er I come home from trips away.

Friday Afternoon *beep beep beep* leave a message after the tone
I had to give up trying to work at about 3ish
my brain refused to function
I kept making stoopid little mistakes
instead I paced
back and forth
pressed my nose to the tinted glass door
drew a picture of a fly passing through one of my ears and out the other on the whiteboard
told the boss I had to stop
he said 'fair enough'
and now I am going to have a beer with the men
and listen to them say fuck every second word
in a non agressive normal chit-chatty australian kind of way

Friday and I've got Zombies on my mind
Well hopefully I have done okay for my first week.
She said so anyway.
(but actually I could have done better ifin I'd not dithered so much and been overcareful because large sums of money was involved).
I wonder if I won the lotto whether I'd get over my allergy for large sums of money?
Maybe I should write to them?
Put it to the Golden Casket people and see wot they say?
Will you assist me in getting over a silly phobia about dealing with large sums of money, by giving me large sums of money?
I am deputised to apply my nephew's vampire makeup for the fancy dress school disco in my sister's stead. She has made herself up as a zombie and is escorting my niece to her basketball semi-final (she isn't going to have time to get changed when she comes back to pick up the nephew, you see?)

Smell ya later
Drank more than I should and woke without retribution.
Am in search of food and then chugging my way to visit Uncle Sidney.
Mr Salter was most excellent, however much to my regret he very responsibly asked people to stand and move forward since it looked like they had a full house, so from then on could see nothing from my comfortable chair in the corner. My laziness was rewarded by the pleasurable sight of Scott Regan (I may have his name spelt wrong - the one at the front) lurking around there. He is a delight to the eyes. Always looks elegant. Lucky it was a dark corner I was sitting in and he was unaware of my leering.
Mr Liddiard also very wonderful and sang Sixteen Straws at the end - bounces excitedly
I should send them presents for being so great. I had an excellent night and they were giving away posters as I was leaving :)
PS. we got cold and sober, oh my, locust, jezebel, the new song about the tightrope walker whose name I cannot remember but starts with a B - blondal? something - and more

During my time off so far ...
I have developed and deep and abiding loathing for "Escape from Scorpion Island"

Eat shoot and drink
i have been out eating drinking and playing pool
showed my usual flare for the occasional impressive fluke
followed by misses
and inability to shoot straight
at least i wasn't the queen of the white ball tonight
one of the other ladies
when messing about after losing
managed to pot the white ball three times in a row
and then jump it off the table and hit her team leader
