For Elephants Child ...

... because you always have such lovely bird photographs :)

This is one of my brother-in-laws girls, that follow him about the yard when he goes outside.

This is a chicken in an avocado tree. They esque? esqueue? have abandoned their cage in favour of the avocado tree Bob grew from seed.  Chickens look funny in a tree. Chickens jumping to get into the tree look even funnier.  You will just have to accept my word until such time i can film it.

They also have feral peacocks and I was disturbed this afternoon by the sounds of altercation from the tree. I was worried there was a snake as reputed by a neighbour, however it was just the peacock being autocratic and chucking the chickens from the tree.

This is the lady peacock that caused all the trouble.

I shall finish on a flower, because there have been alot of them lately.  This is the standard rose Bob gave to my sister as a present. Possibly for valentines day, but maybe just a birthday. They have been together ages and have three children and have a comfortable home that invites you to just drop in, even if you havent called first.

Ride through the Park

with bees

This is actually at my sisters house, where I ended up after my ride.
This loriket was as curious about what I was doing, as I was about what it was doing
And of course, whilst on the ride through the park before work I discovered my scooter was dripping fuel from underneath and I am without transport for the next week and a half or so.  I have my fingers crossed that it won't be expensive to fix.
*shakes fist at 2013 and mutters bastard*

Shutter snap

breakfast by the ocean
resisted ordering the corncakes yet again
(who knew chilli in the morning could be so good?)
went with straightforward eggs and bacon
with a potato feta hash
which i've not had there yet

came in a little white ceramic bowl
looking a bit like deep fried ice-cream
next time will just order that and bacon
it was awesome in a bowl

Short Walk

My oldest sisters doors.  Just because one has to tap ones windows because of severe Category 5 tropical cyclone, doesn't mean one shouldn't try and make it look pretty, right?

The two hour car ride for a sandwich

This is the overflowing dam we drove out to see.

It was a two hour drive each way and I took lots of photos of clouds.

And this is a tree.

... backpedalling

Which is not to say there is anything wrong with Townsville. Townsville is lovely. Look here is a photo.

Though admittedly the hill looks a bit suspect in this photo.

Townsville Scenes

I'm sorry of it seems like I am going ape with the photos, but I've only had net access at work and have been unable to download any of the pictures I've been taking. There were over 500 on the camera, but I shan't inflict them all on yea.

This is a pretty tree that I saw opposite my eldest sisters new house.

And this is a little hall-type-building (possibly a church, I am sorry I don't actually know) that I passed on the way to watch one of my nieces perform in the estedford (sp?)
