i have no title yet ...

... very similar to those comedy talk fests on the ABC or SBS in that way ... I may choose a title by the end of the post ... perhaps ... maybe ...

I have a new laptop.

I have internet.

I am struggling to type due to the arthritis in my fingers which is making me a little cross.

Funnily enough crossing my fingers is something I can no longer do.  I still casually mention crossing my fingers and then fail to carry through.  So not really gotten used to it yet.

Typing used to be my preferred mode of communication.  It whooshed more smoothly than speech. I also do not yet have a mouse and separate keyboard.  I am a bit crap with the little pad one fingers like a figure skater and have only managed right hand mouse clicking by luck with my eyes shut and a hopeful frame of mind. Not that I have ever fingered a figure skater. Not that there is anything wrong with that. Although I probably wouldn't be very dexterous if it cropped up in my near future.  sorry.

I have bought a hippo lamp and a brown sofa and I have fully intended to finish moving furniture about for about a month so that I can walk around my flat without having to turn the light on and concentrate hard.  I fully meant to do some of that today.

I did not do that.

Tomorrow is a new day but.  I may yet do that.  All hope is not yet lost.

It was a bargin!

Have been lecturing myself for the last two weeks about the need to get a grip and do some serious saving for a while.

And then ... sigh.

The ever fabulous Margaret Crawford went and made the gorgeous little bunny mug and my steely resolve crumbled before it even got to flash its colours.

Resolution - be more thoughtful

Booked myself in to see a hand wrist physio.

My homework is to wrap myself up into a fist for half an hour every night to gently stretch my fingers.

Must remember to have a loo break between hands.
Am rocking back and forth in my chair waiting for the time to count down.

Drags feet reluctantly ...

Finally went to a doctor about my malfunctioning wrist.
Haven't seen the report yet, but from the pictures I don't think it's good.

My wrist.

Normal wrist

The picture of my wrist looks like someone has run the smug function over it;
Or it's dissolved;
Or something.

Still ... it makes me feel better about considering it an ouchy.
I always worry that I am just being a sook :)

Lord Whiffle-Trout

Some neighbour or other is letting his dog run loose and rampaging.

He has nearly caught poor Springbok Bone Breaker, the Destroyer (aka my cat) twice in my own yard.

I have stepped barefoot in dog shit once.

I've bought collar and lead and intend to buy unchewable cord in the near future so as I can chain him up for temporary periods when I want my cats to come home unmolested.

He is a rather lovely dog under non cat conditions, and he is totally getting a bath tomorrow or Sunday with some nice vanilla scented doggie shampoo.

My hands were practically black last time I petted him.

Wassail and good cheer!...

I bid you welcome Sir and good health and dub thee, Lord Whiffle-Trout, and ask thee not to chase my cats when you are out and about.

Better late than never

George didn't escape as often as I expected over Xmas, so this is the first chance I've had to adorn him in his planned xmas regalia.

I made Bokkie stay in all night and all day.
Come the morn, he delicately touched my nose a couple of times with gentle paw to wake me.
A soft ma-racking trill.
I didn't want to get up yet.
I pretended I was still asleep.
I don't think I fooled him.
He gave me an almighty wallop and glared at me with his ears back when I reared back in surprise.

This morning ...

... I went to Bunnings and spent my birthday voucher on some plants and then took some photos at my sisters house of some chickens and a peacock and then put a hat on one of her cats.

This chicken has a nasty look

So handsome and shiny

This chicken pecks my toes

Close up peacock grooming

Unimpressed

My non-diseased sister's ...

... earring.

My not so-little little brother who flew up to surprise my diseased sister.

My nephew who is looking a bit elvish.

A chicken!

Quote from Return to Oz.

Sophie's new earrings

Stuff ...

My sisters bandages.

The irony of just having spent foolish amounts of money on a new hairdo prior to finding out it will all fall out, ha ha.

Champagne with fruit, w00t!

More photos ...

Peacock feather

Photos ..

Peacock wot hangs out at my sisters house.

He is losing his old tail and growing another.
We search the yard for feathers/treasure whene'er we come over.

And pictures of gum leaves I took yesterday, after noticing the catapillars.

Awww man!

I think i need to buy a dog house with mosquito netting or a door between the laundry and kitchen.

George is curled up on my outdoor sofa wot is in the carport pending me ordering another skip for a clean out, since our local council don't do hard rubbish pickups.

I put my rain coat over him to help keep the mosi's away.

I feel sooo guilty.

Poor George ...

... has learnt a new trick.  He made sad little whining noises at me until I sat down and gave him a cuddle last night.  He is such a sooky dog.

Sadly the little crown I had to go with the skirt was too small. Am pondering workarounds for next time.

This is the same sad put upon look he does when I tie him up to stuff.

He cheered up when I gave him his treats.

He even wandered over to the neighbours yard on his own and posed prettily for me.

Once the treats were gone, so was he.

Three day doggie bender

George has been out and about for a sustained period again.

My cat Bokkie hasn't been terribly impressed with the attention and doesn't approve of my interactions.  He don't like the doggy smell.
