George said No!

George, the Houdini of the small but fat headed dog world, has been very tolerant of my dressing up - photo opportunitites.

But, today he said no.

Even with the softening up pre-fish-tender offering, a pastell coloured wig with a unicorn horn and little ears was a step too far.

Better late than never

George didn't escape as often as I expected over Xmas, so this is the first chance I've had to adorn him in his planned xmas regalia.

I made Bokkie stay in all night and all day.
Come the morn, he delicately touched my nose a couple of times with gentle paw to wake me.
A soft ma-racking trill.
I didn't want to get up yet.
I pretended I was still asleep.
I don't think I fooled him.
He gave me an almighty wallop and glared at me with his ears back when I reared back in surprise.

Awww man!

I think i need to buy a dog house with mosquito netting or a door between the laundry and kitchen.

George is curled up on my outdoor sofa wot is in the carport pending me ordering another skip for a clean out, since our local council don't do hard rubbish pickups.

I put my rain coat over him to help keep the mosi's away.

I feel sooo guilty.

Poor George ...

... has learnt a new trick.  He made sad little whining noises at me until I sat down and gave him a cuddle last night.  He is such a sooky dog.

Sadly the little crown I had to go with the skirt was too small. Am pondering workarounds for next time.

This is the same sad put upon look he does when I tie him up to stuff.

He cheered up when I gave him his treats.

He even wandered over to the neighbours yard on his own and posed prettily for me.

Once the treats were gone, so was he.

Three day doggie bender

George has been out and about for a sustained period again.

My cat Bokkie hasn't been terribly impressed with the attention and doesn't approve of my interactions.  He don't like the doggy smell.

... but also ...

I am a little sad tonight.

New patient, a young girl/lady, was filling in the new patient form and asked what 'alternative ' meant.  Except she couldn't even pronounce it correctly and called it 'alternate'.

She was quite nice, and her friend who had suggested out centre was also nice, but I find it very distressing when simple words are not understood.  I was heartened the friend gave a good explanation of 'alternative ' even if she was calling it 'alternate '.

I have had young people ask what midday or noon means.
I have had young persons ask what surname means.

George narrowly escaped adornment yesterday when he stopped by. His family, or someones family, were taking him for a walk (unleashed).

My wish granted ...

... since it appears George has been out all night terrorising the neighbourhood in his blue feather boa, ha ha ha ha

I had to give him a tummy rub
even though he had my cat bailled
up in the stormwater drain

New hobby ...

... i only wish he had come by during daylight hours, so I could take better pictures.

I think feathers suit him.

My new hobby ...

There is a dog living a few streets away who escapes on a regular basis.

He seems to have decided instead of sitting around at home all day he should travel the neighbourhood taunting less free canines, barking at my cats and scaring them and pretending they oppress and beat him up when i am present, and mooching at my next doors neighbours house with the Labrador.

So I decided I should dress him up when he comes over.

Some outfits so far ...
